Part Two! Scroll Down for Part One!

(Damn! Upstaged by my girlfriend! Honestly, I was stunned with this start. And that's how I'll explain being late with the follow-up. And I'm staying by that! Myself I saw this story a little differently, I guess... light-hearted, so my entries may be a marked departure... She'll probably wring my neck! But here goes... )

The captain scowled and burst out the ravings that had been running through her head since her unit was assigned to the expedition, "We're going on a fairy tale adventure to bestow our *beloved* heir with unimaginable powers! As if he's been anxiously awaiting his old man to croak, Tarre wastes no time bending, no, *contorting* the kingdom to his delusional vision! Wasting resources to--"
A smoking flash cut Kaste off, and Tarre himself appeared draped in the red carpet which invited him. He treated his crown as a fashion accessory; it was the only thing tending his hair. He always exaggerated his cool. He glared at her with red eyes, but she returned a piercing gaze that shattered the lenses. His blue eyes disarmed him.
"Are you serious about this?!" she barked, "You're using your kingdom's armies not even to benefit your kingdom, but only yourself! And your personal use of the palace's trickery is unflattering as well..."
He chose his words carefully, but not amongst them one word of truth. "The kingdom is in grieving over the loss of their King. I have made it my duty to assure such a loss is never incurred again."
Kaste sighed.
Tarre spoke sternly, "Perform your duty. Why lose your position over this? If you set out now, I might even allow you horses."
She turned away fuming and shouted, "Fetch our mounts, we set out at noon!"
Kyuliel bounced in jubilation, this would be the perfect beginning to her epic. She smiled to herself, "It's time I join the cavalry..."
