O/S part three

Of course, it wasn't just the story. It was also the reason behind his disinterest in all of the stories. Perhaps if she were to take a more realistic stance to the story it would come alive. This curiosity lead Kyuliel to her personal guard, Agran.
"Agran, I want to follow Kaste's squad," she said sternly to the armor clad man standing outside her doorway.
"Kaste's squad? The one on the mission from your brother?" He smirked.
"Yes, Kaste's squad," Kyuliel repeated.
"Alright. It's probably some piddly thing anyway. But I'll be expecting a bonus."
"Rightly so. Follow me," Kyuliel said as she strutted down the hallway towards her route of departure.
At noon that day Kaste and her company gathered up their supplies and horses in a hurried manner, their training barely finished. Kyuliel and her bodyguard Agran stood watch not too far away from their frantic assembly on white horses. They were waiting for the group to head out.

"Uh, Captain, are you sure I was supposed to ride Spotty?" a private standing next to a speckled mare asked of Kaste.
Kaste was busy checking supplies, and didn't hear him.
"Captain?" he asked again.
"What?" Kaste looked up from her list.
"Was I supposed to take Spotty?"
"Spotty? Oh, yes, right, the horse. Um," she looked back at her list, deep in thought, even though it said nothing of the assignments. "Yes, I believe... Actually. No. You... You're Nigyl, aren't you?"
"Um, ma'am? Yes, I'm Nigyl. Is something wrong, ma'am?"
Kaste stared blankly a second then shook her head, "Just the idiocracy of it all, Nigyl. Take Spotty. It shouldn't matter too much. Is that all?"
"Yes, that's all," he said nervously and shot out of the room leading Spotty the horse.
